A little while ago, Romero Project used two microphones from Seruniaudio—the MKS-14 Special Editon and SEM-02—to record their drum set and saxophone during a music production session. Microphone selection and placement played a key role in capturing a complete and professional sound character.

The SEM-02 was positioned on the snare drum to deliver sharp and dynamic detail, using the SEM-02 for Universal mount placed on a hi-hat stand and directed toward the snare. With the right microphone setup, the recording came out cleaner, and every musical nuance felt more alive. The combination of technology and strategic mic placement proved essential in achieving professional audio quality.

The saxophone was also miked using the SEM-02 for saxophone, delivering a natural sound with stunning detail.

The synergy between Seruniaudio’s microphone technology and thoughtful placement resulted in a clean and vivid recording. Every element of the drum performance was captured with clarity—bringing the listener right into the recording room.

For musicians and producers looking to capture sound with greater precision—without sacrificing warmth and dynamics—MKS-14 and SEM-02 are worth considering. With the right approach, these two microphones do more than just record sound—they capture the soul of it. Exploring drum sounds is fun, right?
